Giving respect or treating others the way you want to be treated is one of the four core values at the Norman E. Day School. At our October Cobra Council, Day School students were asked to think about and discuss the following scenarios:
The students were challenged to think about what it really means to live by the Golden Rule. We had a lively discussion about accepting and celebrating the differences that make our school community so special. The conclusion of our program featured a rap song, Love Yourself by Khari. Mrs. Carpenter and members of the student senate led the school in a refrain that encouraged Day school students to accept themselves as beautiful people.
